For heavy-duty, high-accuracy machining, Absolute Machine Tools (www.absolutemachine.com) will present the Johnsford BMC-110 horizontal boring mill, a 55,000-lb machine with a Meehanite cast iron base and innovative column and table design. The design provides a moving column for the Z axis and a moving table for the X axis for rigidity, accuracy and full support of the table over the complete X-axis travel. The moving column design also eliminates the need for outriggers or outboard supportive ways to support high table loads.

The machine’s X axis is fully supported by the base with absolutely no overhang of the table.
