Numerical Control Computer Sciences (www.nccs.com) has released version 9.5 of its NCL multi-axis machining software with an enhanced blend of automated and user-controlled toolpath generation techniques.
According to NCCS, NCL offers special modes that give users the ability to generate more precise toolpaths including:
The ability to automatically lock the tool axis when generating corners.
The option of the tool axis passing through a point.
The option of the tool axis passing through a 3D curve.
And the option of interpolation between a start and end vector.
David Schultz, Numerical Control Computer Sciences’ manager of CAD/ CAM Applications, said the NCL software offers a unique blend of automated and user-controlled toolpath generation techniques that result in reduced programming time and increased quality.
The NCL software is targeted at the aerospace, automotive and turbo machinery industry.
