Because of the growing popularity of Swiss-style machines, Schlitter Tool (www.schlittertool.com) has developed a series of rotary broaches.

Schlitter’s compact 5000 Series Swiss Style HexMaster rotary broaches are designed as special insidediameter rotary broaches. They can be used to broach holes and forms to 0.375-in. diameter.

The machining dynamics of rotary broaching differ in small forms, so Schlitter’s 5000 series rotary broach doesn’t rely on an orbiting action to create inside-diameter shapes. The company said its broaches simplify set up and improve part quality over conventional orbiting heads.
