BIG Daishowa Seiki introduced a new line of integral indexable endmills that are designed to deliver 40-taper cutting power on a 30-taper machine.

The body of the company’s BBT30-FCM cutters are made from tool steel, and made to cut tool steel at speeds of 400 surface ft./ min. (sfm).

As with all of its toolholder tapers, BIG Daishowa holds tolerances of ± 0.25 microns for the taper on these endmills and they are all serialized individually as they are produced by the laser marking system the company developed for itself.

The endmill line was introduced at JIMTOF 2008 in Tokyo.
