The Presto MR20 robot emulates the motions of a human arm.

A special seventh-axis design allows Nachi Robotic System Inc.’s (www.nachirobotics.com) Presto MR20 robot to emulate the motions of a human arm for performing more complicated work processes in space-constricted areas. The robot arm supports payloads to 30 kg (66.14 lbs).

The MR20 has a compact arm and powerful body with a wrist torque two times that of comparable-sized robots. It features a horizontal reach of 1,260 mm (49.6 in.), a repeatability of +/- 0.1 mm (0.003937 in.), two 6-mm (0.236 in.) througharm pneumatic lines, 18-conductor signal cable and through-arm support for servo gripper tooling.

A Nachi AX20 series controller for the robot provides a simplified programming solution that uses the primary six axes unless selected by the programmer. When coupled with a Nachi NV-AX visions system, the MR20 can perform bin picking and product assembly.
