The Sandur Tool Company , Waterbury, Conn., which makes eyelet tools and die sets held to precise tolerances, is celebrating its 50th business year this month. “We’ve withstood the turbulent manufacturing climate by being a specialty tool and die shop for larger manufacturers,” said Anthony Durso, Jr., president. “We’ve carved a unique niche for ourselves over the past 50 years due to my father’s vision, our high quality precision and level of detail, and the ability to keep costs contained.”
