Compared with previous models, the VC Nexus 410A VMC's electric-power consumption during standby is 20% less, its air consumption 32% less, and waste oil is 57% less thanks to an automatic greaselubrication system. The VC Nexus 410A has a 25-hp spindle motor delivering 12,000 rpm. Its rapidtraverse rate is 1,417 ipm at 0.5-G acceleration, and chip-to-chip time is 2.9 sec. The machine's work area measures 22 16 20 in. and its tool magazine stores up to 30 tools (of 40 taper) to 13.7-in. long and 3.15 in. in diameter.
