Mori Seiki (www.moriseiki.com) has released the NXH3000 DCG horizontal machining center and NXV3000 DCG vertical machining center. The new machines have footprints of less than 30 sq. ft. and a height of 9.8 ft. Both of the new machines feature axis travels of 11.8 in. by 13.8 in. by 13.8 in. (X-axis by Y-axis by Z-axis) with a 12.6 in. by 12.6 in. table that supports workpieces up to 440 lbs. Like all previous NX Series models, the machines feature a uniform table height of 39.4 in., allowing all machines in the series to be combined along the same production line. Optional integration of a gantry loader, robot or pallet carriage system into the line allows for automated movement of workpieces among the machines.

Mori Seiki has implemented DCG (Driven at the Center of Gravity) technology into every machine within the NX Series. This, along with a box-in-box construction, allows for rapid acceleration/deceleration rates with minimal vibration. Rapid traverse rate is 1,969 ipm along all three axes for each machine.

Both machines contain an 8-capacity (16-capacity optional) tool changer. The machines accept HSKA50 tooling.
