Make way for the ghost shift, said Ixion GmbH & Co. about its IA3 TLF-U machine that does unmanned deep-hole drilling and milling thanks to a universal tool changer with a changing mechanism that handles standard milling tools as well as deep-hole drills measuring up to 1.460 mm in length. Drilling and/or milling tool capacity of the changer is 24, and the machine bores holes as deep as 1.200 mm in one stroke, as well as complex milling.
