Cutting toolmaker Sandvik Coromant has named Tom Erixon president of global operations in Sandviken, Sweden. The promotion will take effect Sept. 1, with Erixon replacing Kenneth Sundh, who serves as the current president of the company.

Erixon had been executive vice president of Sandvik Tooling and president of Sandvik Hard Materials.

Sundh, meanwhile, will step into the role of executive vice president of Sandvik Tooling, where he will oversee global strategic projects, according to a report from the company.
