Dresser-Rand teams up to build compressors, gas turbines

An affiliate of Dresser-Rand Group Inc. has formed an alliance with Samsung Techwin Co. Ltd. to package and sell engineered compressors and gas turbines.

As part of the deal, some Dresser-Rand Co. compressors and turbines will be packaged and supplied to Korean-based shipyards and engineering companies for use in the oil and gas market, as well as the local Korean market.

Houston-based Dresser-Rand supplies rotating equipment to the oil and gas markets. Samsung Techwin is an affiliate of Samsung Group of Korea.
