The Hydra 5-stc vise jaw from Hydramax Technologies, Portland, holds up to 20 parts in a double vise and fits into a Chick vise without modification to the vise. The self-contained unit attaches in seconds to the sliding vise member using a Chick locking pin without external hydraulic lines. Other Hydramax jaws hold 5, 6, 7, and 10 parts in one vise and twice as many in a double vise.
The jaw's hardened pistons act independently. A common channel connects the pistons so equal force pushes against each part to eliminate part movement, broken cutters, and damage to parts and fixtures.
