Certification for production workers

The National Association of Manufacturers (www.nam.org) launched a program Sept. 25 to address the needs of 80 percent of manufacturers who say they need qualified and skilled production workers. The association established a national certification program for skilled production workers that will tell aspiring manufacturing workers exactly what skills they need to work in manufacturing while helping prospective employers to identify qualified applicants.
