Ford To Add Third Wind Turbine At Its Dagenham Engine Plant

Ford Motor Company will add a third wind turbine at its Dagenham engine manufacturing plant to reduce further the CO2 emissions from its European operations.
The extra turbine enables Ford's Dagenham Diesel Centre to remain 100 per cent powered by wind generated electricity, following installation of a new 1.4/1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi engine line. The engine goes into Ford of Europe's popular Fiesta, Fusion and Focus models. Read More

3M Product Designed To Speed Production of Printed Circuit Boards

3M has produced a die-cast version of its Mini Delta Ribbon Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) Right-Angle Receptacle that is used in automated soldering operations. The new die-cast version is weight-balanced to help prevent tipping during automated soldering operations. This virtually eliminates the need for costly and time-consuming pre-solder hold-down operations, thus helping to decrease board fabrication cycle time. Read More

Boeing Finishing First P-8A Missile System

Boeing said it is doing the final assembly of the first P-8A Poseidon for the U.S. Navy. The P-8A will provide increased capability in long-range anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. Read More
