UGS Corp. (www.ugs.com), a global provider of product lifecycle management software and services, reported a four percent increase in revenue to $296.7 million for second-quarter 2006, compared to the year-earlier period.
Software revenue increased to $221.2 million, a five percent increase over 2005. Those amounts are not adjusted for approximately $3.6 million in deferred write-offs.
The company is in the process of completing the reorganization of its sales force to focus on verticals and mid-market channels and is adding sales capacity.
During the second quarter UGS was named a Caterpillar Strategic Supplier, and received the Honda Engineering Supplier of the Year Award, Ford’s Q1 Certification and GM’s Supplier of the Year Award.
