Design engineering professionals will soon have the chance to see new products and technologies that can help reduce product development costs and time to market while increasing quality. Professional Tradeshows Inc. (PTS), a division of Penton Industry Media (publisher of AMERICAN MACHINIST), has introduced the Total Design Solutions Show and Conference (TDS), which will be held in three major manufacturing regions in the U.S.: Northeast, Midwest, and West.

The first show, TDS Northeast, will be held at the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Conn., on April 10th and 11th. There, hundreds of companies will exhibit assembly and manufacturing equipment, materials, testing and inspection devices, computer-aided-design packages, motion systems, and more.

The regional show is tailored to professionals who work directly in OEM manufacturing in such industries as automotive, medical, biomedical, telecommunications, and semiconductor manufacturing. It is expected to draw a strong turnout of design engineering professionals in and around the New England area.

PTS, which produces strategically located regional tradeshows, adds Total Design Solutions Shows to its list of plant engineering and maintenance, building operations, design engineering, and machine tool shows.

TDS Northeast Show and Conference is sponsored by Penton's design-engineering publications: Machine Design, Computer-Aided Engineering, Medical Design News, Design Mart, New Equipment Digest, Motion System Design, and Hydraulics and Pneumatics. With the combined efforts of these publications, a comprehensive conference series consisting of nine solution-driven sessions will run concurrently with the tradeshow. According to PTS, the sessions will provide cutting-edge applications of technology and other methods to improve product lifecycle management, virtual prototyping, and modeling.

Tradeshow and conference admission is free. For more information on attending or exhibiting at the show, go to www.totaldesignsolutions.net or contact Jim Cloonan, design show manager, at (800) 668-3908, ext. 2, or [email protected].
