M-Star Inch solid-carbide end mills from Mitsubishi Carbide (www.mitsubishicarbide.com) are designed to cut materials such as Inconel, titanium alloys and stainless steels in mold and die, medical and aerospace applications. The square or ballnose tools range in diameters from 0.0156 in. to 0.250 in. and are available with either two or four flutes. The company says M-Star end mills achieve long tool life at high speeds and feeds as a result of their MS heatresistant, high-strength coatings and micrograde carbide substrates. An eccentric grind enables the end mills to maintain cutting-edge integrity.
