Bombardier Draws $1.18B Order for Biz Jets

Vista, an aviation provider based in Dubai, stated the 30 Challenger 3500 aircraft are just the beginning for its fleet of aircraft.

Bombardier announced February 11 that it had received a $1.18 billion order for 30 of its Challenger 3500 brand business aircraft from Vista, an aviation provider based in Dubai. In a company statement, Bombardier CEO Éric Martel said that his company “pioneered” the Challenger’s “super-midsize aircraft category” and emphasized its long history with Vista.

“These significant orders are a testament to how well this aircraft serves our customers, delivering the perfect balance of cutting-edge technology, exceptional comfort, and proven value,” Martel said. “Vista has been a valued Bombardier customer since they began operating. We are proud that our relationship will further deepen through these significant orders and are excited for Vista’s teams and clients to benefit from everything the Challenger 3500 aircraft has to offer.”

Vista Chairman Thomas Flohr said his company is still building its fleet. “This agreement is about leadership, preparedness and client experience,” said Flohr.

According to Bombardier, the Challenger 3500 has a dispatch reliability rate of 99.8%, low direct operating costs for its size and a comfortable cabin with voice controls and other amenities.
