Esmark Steel names new CEO
Esmark Steel Group announced October 3 it would name Jack Biegalski its new CEO. According to a statement from the Sweickley, Pennsylvania-based steel company, Biegalski has almost four decades of experience in the steel industry and previously served as COO of American Heavy Plates after working as a Director of Sales for ArcelorMittal USA and a chair of the Metals Service Center Institute’s Plates and Shapes Council.
Biegalski is set to replace Roberto Alvarez, who is set to become CEO of Esmark International: There, he’ll oversee the company’s European and Asian joint ventures and its Mexican subsidiary. Alvarez and Biegalski will report to Esmark Inc. founder and Executive Chairman James P. Bouchard alongside Randy Stanton, acting President and CFO of Esmark Inc., and Dave Luptak, CEO of Ohio Coatings Company-Tin Operations.
