Auto components maker Findlay Industries is another casualty of the worsening economic conditions, as the company will be shutting down most of its operations while attempting to find a buyer.

The Findlay, OH-based company announced that on July 18 it will close its corporate offices, along with several plants, according to a notice filed with the state.

Findlay Industries offices pointed to the deteriorating economic conditions, along with “unforeseen developments” in its relationship with Navistar and prospective buyers.

“Management has been, and will continue, pursuing every realistic opportunity to keep the faltering facilities in business under new ownership, but can make no guarantees,” the company said in a press release.
