Viking SuperSeries II centerless grinders have several new features and components such as digital-servo controls with Sercos interface and seals that protect the grinder's antifriction spindles from contaminants. The machines produce parts 0.05 to 2.4-in. in diameter using a 16-in.-diameter grinding wheel and 20-hp wheel drive. Surface speeds range from 8,500 to 12,000 sfm for conventional abrasives and up to 16,000 sfm for superabrasive applications. Regulating wheel diameter is 12 in. standard.
