Private equity investor seeks companies with significant growth potential

Coldwater Machine Co. LLC, a 55-year-old precision machine shop and fabricator in Coldwater, Ohio, has been acquired by a private equity firm, North River Capital LLC. The sellers were JMAC Inc., a private investment firm, and Coldwater Machine Co. president Jerome Meyer.

Meyer will retain his position and an equity stake in the company.

Coldwater Machine designs and manufactures high-precision machines, assemblies, tools, and machine components for original equipment manufacturers. Its finished products include customized machines, dies, tools, fixtures, gages, assemblies, and finished components supplied to aerospace, energy, automotive, beverage, medical, and defense manufacturers.

North River Capital is headquartered in Fort Wayne, Ind. It was established in 2008 and seeks majority positions in companies with significant growth potential.
