Makino Opens Mexico Technology Center

Queretaro facility offers sales, service, training and application engineering support

Makino is opening a new technology center in Queretaro, Mexico, to provide equipment and parts, local service, training and technology support, and application engineering services in the region. The company also provides technical service specialists in Saltillo and Mexico City, including preventive and corrective maintenance, on-field option installation, and Spanish maintenance training.

The new center will oversee Makino’s machine tool sales and service in the region, including 3-, 4-, and 5-axis vertical and horizontal machining centers, wire and Ram EDM machining centers, and automation and integration technologies.

“Mexico is the tenth-largest exporter in the world and a growing international manufacturing center,” stated Makino Mexico’s Eduardo Medrano. “Makino’s new technology center connects Mexico-based manufacturers with the applications expertise and high-performance machine tool technologies needed to compete globally. Our experienced staff is here to assist manufacturers of every size and industry.”

Local engineering services available in Queretaro include application engineering, global operation support, and project management capabilities. Spanish language training with local expert engineers will be offered, as will interactive classes, seminars, technical demonstrations, and Spanish webinars.
