Mori Seiki (www.moriseiki.com) said it has acquired Sandvik Tobler SAS, France, a division of Sandvik Tooling.

With operations in Louvres, France, Sandvik Tobler produces precision mandrels and clamping solutions for the automotive industry.

The company posted sales of approximately $12.5 million in 2006.

The transfer of Sandvik Tobler to Mori Seiki is expected to take place early in 2008, and is subject to obtaining the appropriate approvals from the relevant antitrust agencies.

Mori Seiki said the integration of the business into its operations represents a continued commitment to increasing engineering performance and providing customers with total machine tool and workholding solutions.
