Three turning guides from Kennametal provide application information along with a catalog of turning inserts and grades. The guides include an 80-pg book covering steel materials, a 100-pg guide on cast irons, and a 100-pg high-temperature-alloy guide. The guides also include detailed charts for optimizing productivity with less-common materials.
Based on the Kenna Prefect insert-selection system, the guides reportedly make it easy to choose optimum insert geometries, grades, and cutting conditions to maximize productivity in any operation.
