A new cutting edge geometry (F27) for the indexable insert portfolio for F4033 Xtra.tec face-milling cutters from Walter AG, Tubingen, Germany, machines difficult workpieces such as cast iron with inclusions and hard steel materials.
A new cutting edge geometry (F27) for the indexable insert portfolio for F4033 Xtra.tec face-milling cutters from Walter AG, Tubingen, Germany, machines difficult workpieces such as cast iron with inclusions and hard steel materials.

Featuring a strong bevel edge, the new indexable inserts reportedly have high stability for long life while coping with all workpiece material challenges. An economical circumference-sintered version is for high-precision roughing, and a circumference-ground version is for high-precision finishing. Both versions are made of Tiger.tec cutting-tool materials WKP25 for steel and WKP35 for cast iron.
