100TG Coolant Collets from NT Tool Corp., Franklin, Tenn., (www.nttoolusa.com) have a one-piece steel design with short slots to prevent coolant from reaching the collet face. The company says this feature eliminates the need for seals, and allows for coolant delivery to the tool tip at pressures up to 1,000 psi. The company says the design also reduces the loss of accuracy associated with multipiece units and enhances collet life because there are no components to wear out.
The collets are compatible with all 100TG chucks and are available in sizes from 0.2344 in. to 1.000 in. in 0.0156-in. increments. Collets in metric sizes are available from 6 mm to 26 mm.
