Kennametal has introduced new chamfering rings, a spotting drill with built-in chamfering capabilities, and grade KC7315 for its KSEM modular drills. The chamfering rings and spotting drills allow for drilling and chamfering in one operation.

Chamfering rings position anywhere along the KSEM-drill body to control hole depth. The spotting tool, with chamfering inserts in the cutter body, is available with or without chamfering inserts, and both styles come in 0.500 to 1.575-in. diameters. The KC7315-grade blades are PVD titanium aluminum-oxide coated for machining alloy steels.
