Identifying what it calls “a critical need for skilled machinists to fix heavy equipment” across a range of industries, Climax Portable Machine Tools has organized a 2011 Training Schedule with classes and programs covering the use and safe operation of heavy-duty portable machine tools. Courses are scheduled throughout the year, and CPMT will customize a course offering according to customers’ needs.
It’s not necessary for machinists to be owners of Climax tools in order to participate in any of the courses.
The instruction can be scheduled at the Climax Global Learning Center in Newberg, Oregon, at the customer’s location, and or via Skype. The advent of instruction by a Skype connection means that machinists around the world can have face-to-face interactions with the trainer, get live demonstrations of how to operate equipment, and ask questions in real time. In addition, online training eliminates travel time and related expenses.
Climax training courses are available for all machinist skill levels and are designed to help them complete on-site machining tasks safely, quickly, and to the highest quality standards.
Courses include introduction to basic on-site machine tool operation, advanced techniques and applications, and Train-the-Trainer Programs that allow trained individuals to pass on their skills to other machinists. Students are encouraged to bring specific application needs to the class for discussions with the instructor.
The Climax Global Learning Center is equipped with state-of-the art machine tools and equipment, and has been offering courses since 2002. Companies worldwide have participated in training sessions there, taught by instructors with specialized experience in machining for a wide range of industries.
Details of the training programs are available online, or by calling Climax Portable Machine Tools at 503-538-2185 or 800-333-8311.
