MHV builds office and engineering center to handle expected growth

Metallurgical High Vacuum Corporation (www. methivac.com) opened a new 2400-sq. ft. building housing its advanced Engineering Design Center equipped with the latest 3D CAD systems to accommodate all vacuum pump and system engineering.

Metallurgical already occupies a climate-controlled 16,000-sq. ft. machining, assembly and testing facility on a 17-acre site near Fennville, Michigan. This factory features an 80-ft by 200-ft open bay with a 30-ft ceiling height and 10-ton overhead crane with access to the entire building. A 30-ft by 60-ft warehouse building holds cores and fixtures.

Metallurgical High Vacuum offers high quality vacuum pumps and process equipment from vacuum coating systems to chambers for thermal processing of metals. It also provides in-depth engineering, design, and services on a wide range of high-vacuum equipment, including remanufacturing of vacuum, booster, and diffusion pumps and blowers.

“Our customers are demanding of high quality so we strive to respond quickly with the best solution whether it’s a full rebuilding job or totally new pumps and equipment,” Geoff Humberstone, president of Metallurgical said. “Our professional staff includes metallurgists, engineers, and factory trained machinists and technicians who are able to remanufacture most brands and models of vacuum equipment. Our new line of rotary piston vacuum pumps is totally made in the USA with high quality motors and components built from the ground up for long service life.”
