Mazak doubling size of Kentucky tech center

Mazak Corp. is doubling the size of its National Technology Center in Florence, Ky. According to Mazak President Brain Papake, the more than $4 million expansion will take the center to 69,000 square ft. The expansion is scheduled for completion in September. The center helps Mazak customers develop and improve production processes. The company has regional tech centers in Schaumburg, Ill., Suwanee, Ga., Houston, Los Angeles, and Monterrey, Mexico.
