FeatureCAM Version 2006 has been released under a new company name, Delcam USA. Englandbased Delcam acquired FeatureCAM's developer earlier this year.
A networked databases option allows users to share databases for tooling, and for feeds and speeds between networked computers.
The synchronized multi-turret turning module integrates into FeatureCAM's existing turning programs for moving operations between spindles and turrets for short runs. It provides graphical, time-based views to eliminate piecing together small numerical control programs and supports synchronization within an operation, such as balanced turning and synchronized roughing.
Additional enhancements to FeatureCAM Version 2006 include full machine simulation and support for motion controllers.
