$285 million acquisition expands fluid-components portfolio

Pump Solutions Group has acquired the Maag Group for a reported $285 million, an approximate figure subject to post-closing adjustments. Maag produces external gear pump systems and pelletizing systems, and develops integrated manufacturing packages for producers of polymers, plastics, chemicals, and petrochemicals.

PSG is a business unit of Dover Corp., an Illinois-based conglomerate that manufactures positive-displacement pumps and related specialty equipment and component parts. It operates in the U.S., China, France, Germany, and India.

"The acquisition of Maag further supports our strategic goal of deploying capital in our key growth spaces and will enhance our overall fluids position through the expansion of PSG's product portfolio and technological depth within its core markets of chemicals and petrochemicals," Dover president and CEO Bob Livingston previously stated.

Maag has operations in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, China, and the United States, as well as additional sales support offices in France, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Brazil.
