Engineers and designers can determine whether a design is suitable for forming by predicting issues including splitting, wrinkling, thinning, excess stretch, and poor surface strains that cause poor-quality stampings.
The updated release lets shops determine product cost and piece weight by providing the flat pattern required to manufacture a part. Results, based on component geometry, account for material properties, friction, tip angle, and forming conditions.
Integrated-formability-analyses technology within a Catia V5 interface provides a powerful tool that leverages the generative analysis functionality with the Catia V5 framework.
