PPG Industries’ aerospace transparencies business and Gentex Corporation will supply electrochromic window shade systems to Hawker Beechcraft Corporation for the passenger-cabin windows of the 2010 Beechcraft King Air 350i airplane, according to PPG, Gentex and HBC officials. The airplane will be the first in general and business aviation with electrically dimmable window shades as standard equipment and only the second aircraft program to use the technology developed by PPG and Gentex. Goodrich Corporation has been selected by Embraer to supply Air Data Systems (ADS) and crew seats for the Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 executive jets. The potential value of the selections is roughly $110 million over the life of the programs for both original equipment and aftermarket revenue. Magna International Inc. said it has been advised that the lender to a wholly-owned subsidiary of OJSC Russian Machines ("Russian Machines") has realized against the 20 million Magna Class A Subordinate Voting Shares pledged as security for the financing obtained by Russian Machines for its September 20, 2007 investment in Magna.
