Four options help manufacturers plan, execute training programs

Web-based training provider Toolingu.com is offering a new range of services to help manufacturing companies improve their training programs. These services have been designed to work in conjunction with Toolingu.com’s web-based training, though they also can be customized to specific companies’ needs.

Toolingu.com develops and provides training content for manufacturers, with packages for machinists, maintenance professionals, welders, and assemblers. Its customers include Fortune 500 manufacturers, “job shops,” distributors, and educational institutions.

Toolingu.com’s services are divided into four options. “Core services” are designed to ensure a smooth launch for a training program, with curriculum and account setup, internal marketing, and student training.

“Optimization services” are offered to assist current Toolingu.com customers by maximizing their usage of the training.

“Managed services” help companies monitor student usage, resolve any technical issues, and report the results of the training program.

“Comprehensive services” are designed to help companies avoid having their training programs fail by planning them better and adopting them sooner. It includes an initial investigation stage and development of a business case, along with ongoing support after training.

According to Jim Kasperik, Toolingu.com director of services, “there’s a lot of research out there that shows about 70% of companies have training programs that fail after the purchase. Our comprehensive services are designed to avoid this risk by helping companies with better planning and early adoption, and also the right follow-up actions after the training.”
