Software company wins litigation battle

Hexagon Metrology won a key litigation victory against several software competitors when a Michigan district court issued an injunction order against Xspect, Wenzel Group, Wenzel Prazision and Wenzel Metromec against using any disputed proprietary information.

The companies agreed to several stipulations, including not hiring any technical employees of Wilcox or Hexagon Metrology, along with never to use or develop any of Hexagon’s proprietary information.

The pact also promised not to develop any PC-DMIS translation utility. New versions of measurement software that include a translation feature are not allowed to be released without notification to Wilcox.
