Cooper Standard Adds Fuel/Brake Product Line

Auto parts supplier buying AMI Industries plants in a two-stage purchase No terms revealed Plants in Michigan, Indiana, China Strengthens portfolio

Cooper Standard, an automotive systems and components supplier, is buying the automotive fuel and brake business of AMI Industries. The operations in North America have been acquired already, though the acquisition of other parts of the business located in China have not been finalized and remain subject to regulatory approval.

The buyer did not disclose the terms of its purchase. The manufacturing plants are in Michigan and Indiana, as well as China

AMI Industries produces tubular products for agriculture and construction equipment, automotive and heavy truck vehicles, and marine industries. It has been offering tubular products for fuel and brake systems since 2008.

"The integration of AMI Industries' fuel and brake business directly aligns with Cooper Standard's profitable growth strategy and globally strengthens the company's position to further service our customers," stated Cooper Standard chairman and CEO Jeffrey Edwards.
