Both machines are equipped with either a 40-taper 20,000-rpm or a 50-taper 12,000-rpm spindle as standard. Maximum tool size is 4.7 in. (120 mm) in diameter by 11.8 in. Both the V99 and V99L are equipped with the Makino Professional 5 control that uses Windows CE software and large, color, touch sensitive, on-screen, menu-driven applications. Icons provide 'hot links' and quick access to critical information that may be required by the operator. In addition, the control platform provides all of the functions typical of a personal computer (cut, paste, copy, find, replace, and more).
