A special swing milling spindle, full traveling column and fixed table design makes Mazak’s VTC-800/30SR vertical machining center ideal for aerospace and energy work and for extremely long or heavy workpieces. The machine’s 110-degree B-axis spindle, which is available in ether 12,000 or 18,000 rpm, ensures high speed and high positioning accuracy over extended periods of operation.
The VTC-800/30SR’s wide fixed working table that measures 137.8 in. by 32.3 in. increases flexibility and reduces cycle times. Shops can partition the table for machining on one side while an additional setup takes place on the other, or it can be outfitted with an optional rotary table C axis for 5-axis simultaneous machining. Table travels measure 118.1 in. in X, 31.5 in. in Y and 28.3 in. in Z, and there is a 30-tool (48- tool optional) magazine.
