The Hardinge Group (www.hardinge.com) will introduce two new members, the GS 200 MSY and the GS 250 MSY Performance multitasking turning centers, to its GS-Series of turning centers. Both new machines include powerful dual-wound spindle motors featuring 30 hp 22 kW on their main spindles, 20 hp 15 kW on their subspindles and 10-hp 7.5-kW live tooling with C axis, Y-axis and spindle orient as standard equipment. The machines rest on 30-degree cast iron slant-bed bases fitted with heavy-duty linear roller guideways and heavy-duty fixed pre-tensioned double-nut ballscrews.

Also from the Hardinge Group, Kellenberger will show its Kel-Vita universal I.D./O.D. grinding machines for workpiece lengths to 1,000 mm. Offered in three models, the Kel-Vita 600, Kel-Vita 800 and the Kel-Vita 1000 (those numbers representing between-centers capacities in millimeters), the machines feature numerous wheelhead configurations, low-friction linear rails and a newly developed CNC.
