Hembrug Machine Tools specializes in the development and manufacturing of ultra-precision turning machines. Hydrostatic bearings are used exclusively in slide and spindle designs. A natural granite base provides optimum dampening, stiffness and thermal stability. Hembrug machines are a proven cost-saving alternative to cylindrical OD/ID grinding. Benefits include; complete processing in one set up, significantly shorter cycle times (up to 4 times faster than grinding) and a lower cost per piece. Hembrug will display the new Mikroturn 300 Baseline, slant bed horizontal at the upcoming IMTS exhibition.

Hembrug offers horizontal and vertical machines with up to 80” swing capacity under the name Mikroturn. Dimensional and form accuracies are typically held to 80 millionths or less with achievable surface finishes as low as 4 Ra. Workhead total runout is 4 millionths. The 300 Baseline has a 12” swing and is arranged with Fanuc 0i control system having axis resolutions of 4 millionths. Also offered are control systems providing .4 millionths resolution from both Fanuc and Siemens.
