Goldner Hawn Engineers Deal For Remmele

A Minneapolis-based private equity firm has acquired Remmele Engineering, Inc. (www.remmeleautomation.com), a developer and producer of engineered, precision-manufactured components and automated assembly systems.

Goldner Hawn acquired the New Brighton, Minn.-based family business for an undisclosed sum. Rich Pogue remains Remmele's president and chief executive, and no management turnover or layoffs are planned as a result of the deal. Founded in St. Paul, Minn., by Fred Remmele in 1949 as a two-person tool and die shop, the company has become a leading provider of highly complex and close tolerance parts, tooling and assembly systems for some of the largest companies in the medical, aerospace and defense industries. Remmele employs more than 500 people across its four Minnesota facilities: St. Paul, New Brighton and Big Lake.

Goldner Hawn said I t plans to leverage its resources and operating experience to help Remmele in a number of growth opportunities, including expansion into international markets.
