Swiss precision tooling manufacturer Rego-Fix® is introducing a program of Xtended Length (XL) toolholders it says provide an extended reach up to 14 in., and targeted at shops that produce high-value products like aerospace components or energy-sector parts.
The XL products are available for Rego-Fix’s ER and powRgrip® product lines.
“The aerospace and energy industries have shown tremendous growth over the past several years and continue to show strong signs, despite the current economy,” explained Rego-Fix president Andy Weber. “Increasingly, these industries produce parts that require high accuracy with long reaches. Our new line of extended reach toolholders was developed to meet this need perfectly.”
The Xtended Length toolholder program features the new (patent pending) Micro-Friction-Dampening (MFD) system, which according to the developer reduces holder and tool vibrations. The extended reach toolholders will be offered with CAT, BT, HSK and Rego-Fix Capto tapers in 2-in. increments up to a maximum length of 14 inches. Versions of the products will be available in the ER 16, ER 32, PG10, PG15 and PG25 series of Rego-Fix toolholders.
