SPX Acquisition Expands Energy-Service Offerings

TTS brings hydraulic bolting products to infrastructure portfolio

SPX Hydraulic Technologies reported it acquired U.K.-based Torque Tension Systems Ltd. for an undisclosed price, expanding its product portfolio to include energy infrastructure projects worldwide, especially the oil-and-gas and wind energy segments.

SPX Hydraulic Technologies is a business unit of SPX Corp., a Charlotte-based manufacturer of engineered products and technologies for power and energy industries. It manufactures high-force hydraulic pumps, cylinders, jacks, pullers and tools.

TTS is a privately held British company that produces hydraulic bolting products. Its brands include Dura-Lite hydraulic torque wrenches, LDF Torque wrenches, subsea bolt tensioners, hydraulic nut splitters, flange pullers, and flange spreaders. In addition to power and energy markets, TTS's tools are used in petrochemical, automotive, chemical, railways and shipbuilding industries.
