  Manufacturers are spending more time on work they don't get paid to do - like meeting stringent packaging requirements for large customers. That, according to Bob Rosenbaum, American Machinist publisher, is because sophisticated supply chains are getting so strong that no supplier, regardless of size, can hope to escape their reach.
