| Boeing Announces Aircraft Orders At Farnborough Airshow The Boeing Company used the annual Farnborough International Airshow to announce the following orders for its aircraft: FlyDubai Orders 50 737-800s Dubai's recently launched low-cost airline FlyDubai ordered 50 Next-Generation 737-800s, in a package valued at approximately $3.74 billion at current list prices. Read More Etihad Airways Orders 35 787s And 10 777s Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has ordered 35 787-9 Dreamliners and 10 777-300ERs (Extended Range). The order is valued at $9.4 billion. Read More Air China Orders 15 777s And 30 737s Air China, the flag carrier of the People's Republic of China, ordered 15 777-300ER (Extended Range) and 30 Next-Generation 737-800 jetliners. Read More
Arik Air Orders 7 737s Nigerian airline Arik Air today announced an order for an additional seven Next-Generation 737s. The airline ordered 10 Next-Generation 737s in September 2007 and now has a total of 17 Next-Generation 737s on order. Arik Air currently operates six 737-700s. Read More
| Airbus announced transactions covering 256 aircraft, valued at US$ 40.5 billion at the 2008 Farnborough Air Show. These transactions include firm orders for 247 aircraft and nine commitments. This also reflects a strong aerospace market despite the global economic uncertainties. Read More

| Goodrich Corp. said it has received an initial production contract from Northrop Grumman Corporation to provide its weapons bay door drive system for all models of the F-35 Lightning II aircraft. The contract is expected to generate more than $20 million in revenue through early 2011. Read More
| Raytheon Missile Systems of Louisville, Ky., has awarded General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products a $22 million contract to produce gun systems for the Phalanx Block 1B Close-In Weapon System and the Centurion Land-Based Phalanx Weapon System. | Johnson Controls said it has received a contract to supply 18 water-cooled centrifugal chillers to the Bahrain Bay project in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Bahrain Bay is a $2.5 billion, mixed-use iconic development on the Northern waterfront of Manama City, Bahrain. It includes, commercial towers, banking headquarters, shopping malls, five star hotels and residential townships that will cater to more than 25,000 residents. Read More

Founded in 1964, privately-held Vanex is a supplier of Plascron® and Breakthrough® brand water-based industrial coatings for use on metal, plastic and wood in the structural steel, building systems, construction and fabricated metals industries. Vanex operates one manufacturing facility in Mount Vernon and employs approximately 20 people. Read More
