KUKA Robotics Corp., Clinton Township, Mich., announced it has signed Programming Plus (PPI), New Berlin, Wis., as its newest System Partner. Using Delcam software, Programming Plus has designed a process to translate CAD to CAM files, letting the KUKA robots be a cost-effective automated alternative to large CNC machines. According to Joe Campbell, director of strategic alliances for KUKA, "Combining KUKA's robot products and technology with Programming Plus' CAM expertise in milling systems will meet customer demands for robotic prototyping and machining."
