Automotive supplier Tower Automotive (www.towerautomotive.com) has selected ICE Industries (www.iceindustires.com) to manufacture parts for at least the next three years. The contract calls for ICE to produce stampings and welded assemblies.
Tower Automotive designs and produces vehicle structural components and assemblies used by every major automotive manufacturer, including BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Fiat, Ford, GM, Honda, Hyundai/Kia, Nissan, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo. Produced products range from body structures and assemblies, lower vehicle frames and structures to chassis modules and suspension components.
ICE will fulfill the Tower contract at its Grenada, Miss., facility that does metal stamping, roll forming, manual and robotic welding, buffing and assembly. The facilities strategic location was selected based on its proximity to Tower’s plants in Madison, Miss., and Smyrna, Tenn.
