The FZ08KS Tilt VMCs feature swivel-head spindles with ranges of –20° to +115°. Aimed at medical, dental, and small automotiveparts manufacturers, applications include orthopedic devices and surgical supplies made of titanium, steel, and special plastics; aluminum housings; and tiny wrist-watch parts. The swivel heads mill surfaces and tap holes at angular positions, including outer/inner contours. Spindles provide speeds up to 40,000 rpm, rapids to 3,000 ipm, and accelerations to 2 G.
